Most published photos on this book have been submitted by
participants #instakosova #instakosovo competition and German Embassy
Competition on Religious Diversity while the others are selected from the
archives of Kosovo photographers. The publisher obtained written declarations
from every photographer on the authenticity and the originality of the works
published on this book.
Faith in Photography is published on the occasion of the 4th
International Interfaith Conference in Kosovo, a trademark event of The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kosovo. It is a collaboration between The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo and the Embassy of the Federal Republic
of Germany in Prishtina.
This mosque is to be found in village of Mlike, area of
Dragash. It is believed to be one of the oldest mosques in Balkans. It was
built in 1289 and constructed by Ahmet Aga in 1822. Burnt three times in its
history, the Mosque of Mlike is home to tombstones dating from before Ottoman
period.
